Small-town service is becoming rare in the insurance industry, which is why we feel it’s more important than ever to focus on customer satisfaction above all else. Caring for our community is also a high priority at Chatsworth Insurance, and we’re proud to be involved in numerous activities to help benefit the area we call home.
Our History
Chatsworth Insurance Brokers Limited has been proudly providing the people of Grey-Bruce and beyond with quality insurance products and expert service for over 40 years. Our company’s history is firmly rooted in the rural community; and though we may have grown, our focus is still on exceptional small-town service.
Chatsworth Insurance was founded in 1972 when Doug Grahlman purchased Al Casselman Insurance, and we have been growing by leaps and bounds ever since. In 2000, Chatsworth Insurance expanded operations with the purchase of Davis & McLay Insurance Brokers located in Ferndale, expanding our service area dramatically. In 2003, we grew once again with the purchase of Walker Bumstead’s property and casualty insurance, and we opened our first office on Owen Sound’s west hill. Finally in 2008, our offices were combined and relocated to downtown Owen Sound to increase our efficiency and offer the best service possible.
Today, we continue to be insurance solutions leaders in the area, with our brokers continually training to maintain the level of expertise that our clients deserve. As we approach our 50th anniversary, we look to the lessons learned in the past to inspire us to even greater heights in the future.
